5/17 – PTO Meeting
Please come out to participate in the PTO. The next meeting will be held on Thursday, April 17, at 6 p.m. in the Sheff Center. Come learn about the exciting activities planned for the balance of the year and get active in supporting our school today!
5/6 - $50 for Capital Prep Families: Get Your Tickets Today For The Annual Scholarship Reception
Spread the word and purchase your tickets today! This year’s event features keynote speaker and Pro Football Hall of Famer, Deion Sanders, an advocate of education and founder of Prime Prep Academy charter school. In addition, we will host a silent auction and showcase the many talents of our students.
When: Tuesday, May 6, 2014 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Where: Capital Prep Magnet School, 1304 Main Street, Hartford, CT
Cost: $50 if you purchase your ticket by April 25; $75 after this date
To purchase tickets, please make checks payable to Capital Prep Magnet School and provide your payment to Mrs. King in the main office. visit the 2014 Scholarship Fund page.
5/2 – Midnight Basketball
On May 2, beginning at 7 p.m. in the gymnasium, we will host our second annual Midnight Basketball event.
Whether you’re on the court or in the stands, this event is one for the whole family & you don’t want to miss it!

Teacher Appreciation Week is May 5 through May 9, 2014. If you would like to join the committee of volunteers
to put together some special activities fro our teachers, please send you name and contact information to the Capital

4/26 – The Enchanted Garden Spring Soiree
Join us for an afternoon of music, dance and food. Saturday, April 26, from 4-6 p.m. in the Café. Dressy attire in requested. RSVP by Monday, April 14 to attend, firstname.lastname@example.org
5/15 – Science Fair Exhibit
On May 15, the Lower School will hold the annual Science Fair Exhibit. Projects will be on display throughout the school from 9am until 11am. K-2 projects will be displayed in their classrooms and grades 3-5 projects will be displayed in the Sheff Center. Parents are more than welcome to come and join us!
4/26 – I Like to Move It, Move It – Zumba!!!
All 6-8th grade young ladies are invited to attend Girls Tween Talk on Saturday, April 25, from 9-11 a.m. for Zumba in the Sheff Center. Wear comfortable workout clothes and be ready for a great time. For more information, email email@example.com.
