12/6 - Friday Night Frenzy!
Help kick-off the Girls & Boys Basketball 2013-2014 season. Please come out and enjoy the DJ, food, dance teams and orange & white basketball game. $1.00 admission.

Visit the Lost and Found
Is your son/daughter missing any apparel, lunch box or any personal belongings? The lost & found is over flowing and we need your help claiming lost items. Please stop by and check out the lower school lost & found between December 2 and December 20 to claim any of your child’s missed items. In addition, please encourage your child to look in the lost and found to claim belongings as soon as they are discovered to be missing. On Monday, December 23all unclaimed items will be donated to the Salvation Army.

The week of Dec 2nd - Dec 6th, the PTO will have bins in the C-Prep lobby to collect your donations of gently used, functional, and all-pieces-intact games and play equipment. 50/50 Raffle – Play to Win!
For $2 per ticket, you can purchase a chance to win the 50/50 raffle and support the 5th grade class trip to Washington DC. To purchase your tickets, please see Mr. Hawkins. The winner will be announced at the 12/14 production of the Polar Express, however you do not need to attend to win. Purchase your tickets today!
Box Tops Collection
Box Tops for Education is a national school earnings program that has been around since 1996. Our school’s goal this year is to earn $1000.00 for Capital Prep. Earn cash for your school by clipping 10¢ Box Tops from hundreds of products and having your kids bring them in to their advisor. Start clipping – turn in your box tops to your advisor weekly. Petition to Public Works: Ely St. Parking
One of our parents has started a petition to post signage on Ely Street in Hartford, CT to allow parking on the wide-width sidewalk due to the safety concerns of school children. Your signature is valuable and makes a real difference. Please encourage others to sign the petition as well. Ski & Snowboarding Program
Registration period for the Ski and Snowboarding program is in progress. Students from 4th - 12th Grade can participate. The ski program is for students at every level, from those completely new to the ski/snowboard program, to those who have been doing these sports for years. This will be a memorable and successful experience - to sign up your child, contact Mr. Roderick or Ms. W. Perry. The deadline is December 6, 2013.

CHUGGA-CHUGGA READ - Help the Polar Express reach the North Pole -advance along the train tracks by reading or being read to for twenty or more minutes every day!

Please note that Math Night will take place on Thursday, December 5, from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. Parents and students are encouraged to come out to participate in fun math-related activities.
WINTER BALL: SILVER BELLS
The PTO Board voted to contribute $300 to the Lower School Winter Dance. This is to cover the cost of food and decorations for this community building event. Because of this donation, there is not a need to solicit donations from families. This is in recognition of the strong support of this year's fundraising efforts to date. 12/14 - Capital Prep Athletics offers "Drop While You Shop"
Would you like 6 hours of holiday shopping while your child is having fun? Drop your child off for games, activities, music, relay races, basketball, volleyball & more!
For $20, children ages 6 -12 will enjoy plenty of activities, and you can get your holiday gifts wrapped and stored, or just enjoy some quiet time before the holidays. Drop While You Shop will be Saturday, Dec. 14 @ Capital Prep from 10am to 4pm.
